Welcome to Louis Brown Recording

L. Brown Recording, Inc. is a commercial recording studio located in the historic Film Center Building in Midtown Manhattan owned and operated by veteran New York based recording engineer Louis Brown. The 1,000 square-foot facility, designed in conjunction with leading industry acoustician Al Fierstein and noted architect Warren Ashworth, was created for instrumentalists, singers and chamber groups in classical, jazz and acoustic music. Our recently renovated studio also houses a nine-foot Steinway D Centennial concert grand piano.

"Several times now, the L. Brown Recording experience has been pure delight for me - an absolutely wonderful studio run by a brilliant mind who knows exactly how to optimally frame a musician's acoustic sound. My trio and solo recordings came out better than I could ever expect"
